I live in longview washington and i have waited over a year to get a frontosa. This last month they have been flooding our area so i have been buying them as i see them. But last night about 1:30 in the am i went to walmart for an emergency run for baby formula and i had just happen to walk by the fish tanks and noticed that there was a juvenile frontosa being harrassed by some mbunas. So i bought him for $5.00 cheapest frontosa ive ever seen. He has more blue on him than any of my others.

make sure you quarantine him before adding him with your other fish  that place is notorious for carrying diseased fish. what type of frontosa did they have anyway?

One of my best fish ever was a burundi frontosa from petco for 5 dollars sold as a electric blue cichlid. His name was Prometheus.

I know they tanks are worse than petco's. I did quarantine and treat the fish prior to putting him in with the others. I am not sure what kind he is they labeled him as an assorted cichlid. They didn't even know what it was
