Can I keep any stingrays in this tank long term?

I dont believe you can. Not wide enough

the width is the killer. you want it long and wide, height doesn't matter as much. seeing as even the smallest freshwater ray grows to 14+ inches in disc width alone (not including a tail), it would have a rough time turning in the tank, much less moving around in it.

Are there smaller salt water species of stingrays? Assuming his set up is sw "reef ready?"

good catch, missed the reef ready.
this is the freshwater ray section, you're looking for the saltwater ray and shark section. there are some saltwater types that stay smaller, but they tend to be hard to keep, and harder to keep alive. blue spotted rays would be one such type. stay quite small, VERY sensitive and are an expert keeper's fish for sure. you can find more info in the saltwater section.

Actually I'm a she :headbang2 yea, I know, not typical. I do have saltwater tanks currently, but thought with my RO system, it'd be worth inquiring about freshwater rays. Sounds like it won't work, though.

Thanks for the help :)
