Thanks for the kind words, I am truly happy with the outcome.Wow!! This may be the nicest in home setup I've ever seen. Well done sir. Well done.
And trust me, if there was a way I could have an Asian Arrow, I'd have at least one. My favorite fish, and I can't even have one, especially after living in Atsugi, Japan for three years.that tank is what dreams are made of. Thank you! Yes I did have a brief issue with the turtle and ray's the first week I got the turtle. He nipped at both of the rays tails, nothing serious though, and the tails grew back. Once he realized that its was not food, he never bothered them again. They have been together all most a year now. He would also nip on the few plastic plants, but again once he realizes its not food, they are fine. Great turtle, my kids love to feed him, takes food right out there hands so slow. To be honest I was surprise to see how he could even nip the rays tail, he eats so incredibly slow. lol .Awesome setup!
Just curious if you have had any issues between the FRT and the rays?
Yes, I agree with you that it must depends on the turtle, plus I don't feed mine fish, he eats dried mango, algae waffers, and massiovore pellets mostly, and a worm or shrimp every now and again. I try to keep the fish taste out of his mouth. Plus when he nipped my rays that was in a 125 gallon tank with four 3'' indo dats three 6'' clown loach and never touched any of them. Now that they are in this larger tank he walks right on top of them and they don't budge.Yeah, my FRT has devoured numerous fish, started when she was young. Everything from goldfish twice her size, to oscars, to a jaguar catfish. Right now there a couple large flag tails in with her and they are frequently missing parts of their tails and fins. Maybe it just depends on the turtle. I'm building a 1300 gallon pond so hopefully she will leave her tank mates alone, I have always wanted to try some rays with her.
Thank you, i am glad you enjoyed it. I know I got much pleasure and motivation from reading other build threads, so i thought id give back.Just read the entire thread, that tank is amazing fella! Top job![]()
