225 Gallon Lake Izabal Biotope

I'm working on it, it's a real pain to scape this tank with the canopy.
I am doing twice weekly 50% water changes on this tank, but I skipped one last week so it was seven days between water changes... Would you guys believe I only had around 10ppm nitrates? I'm wondering if the Matrix in the sump has some anaerobic bacteria going on... I was expecting a lot more.

Thanks. They were in the 225 when it broke. I only had the cubans in the 125 along with two old cutteri fry that had made it behind the background. The cutteri are in my 20 now and the bigger one has doubled in size in 2 weeks.

I truly believe I have clown loaches that are EXCEPTIONAL at playing dead--if you guys haven't kept them, this is one of their many "amusing" behaviors. Tap on the tank and they jump right up and swim away.

Stunning tank the illusion is unbelievable! I feel like I am staring into the actual lake in CA.
