Could Someone ID This Cichlid?

It does kinda. The guy at the store said it was probably "something someone brought in". So I'm guessing it's something more common and easily bred. Though the last time I got a fish from that store for $2.50 it turned out to be some kind of crazy wild-caught betta, so who knows?

I'm pretty new to the cichlid world. I kept wal-mart mbunas when i was a teenager but since then I've only kept angels, discus, rams, and checkerboard cichlid (Dicrossus filamentosa).
 
It's not Hoplarchus psittacus. This is what they look like as young (courtesy of Jeff Rapps):

My experience is that they would keep their dark and mottled pattern as juvies, even when stressed or scared.

I'm stumped. Without markings (except the spot on the caudal peduncle) it's hard to say.
 
H/She colored up beautifully in the semi-aggressive tank. Bright blue pelvic fins and red dorsal fin. You wouldn't even guess it was the same fish. Got a couple more pictures and a video, but I swear that fish is camera shy, and the rainbows kept getting in my fricken shot.

Hopefully this is enough for an ID from someone.

It kinda looks like my festae fry. Also with the possible tail spot and colored fins I'm thinking possible festae? Although those last pics were really blurry

It does look a lot like a festae in this picture.
 
Amphilophus and Festae both mean Red Terror right? So I've got an even more aggressive fish than a RD? Wow. I hope not! Unfortunately, that video can't be viewed because of the privacy settings. You probably need to make it Public (available to everyone) on FB.
