So there is a tiny gap in between the stand and tank on the left 1/2 of the tank, about 2-3 business cards room. The person i ordered the tank from told me to put styrofoam underneath it? Please advise =]

Id add styrofoam it levels out due to the pressure. I have 3 tanks that dont sit completely level as such and they have been going fine for a year so its not such a biggie =) but thats because of the stand!
In that case, should be covered if anything bad is to happen. Hope nothing happens because that's a lot of water. They do have thin sheets of foam (not styrofoam) available. You can find it at HomeDepot flooring dept.
Is it possible to shim the the base of the stand to eliminate the gap? House floors are not always perfect.
So you'd recommend thin sheets of foam vs styrofoam? Also have no idea how to shim the base of the stand.
I still have to move it to its spot. I just had it there to make sure all the plumbing was good.
i am confused your tank dose not sit flat on your stand because of the way the stand is built or because the floor is not flat?
The floor is flat, i think its the stand. I personally dont like how its made. There is no top and bottom frame. Just MDF ontop of 2x4s
