pondicherry, chennai
i have been a tropical fish hobbyist for past 15 years, now after looking marine aquarium i am been tempted t set up a marine aquarium

what is required to start a marine aquarium
i have access to sea and can bring fresh sea water from mid sea.
i have a 150 litres tank empty now
i also have many dead coral collected from sea

so for tank water filteration what should i do? i am in pondicherry near chennai in india

what kind of species will survive in aquarium for a starter and what feed should i use

i am interested in having jelly fishes or sea horses with some star fishes and sea urchin

what kind of base should i use in a marine tank as i use very small pebbles for my tropical tanks

what would be the cost of maintainence every month for this marine tank

lights, protien skimmer, sump, power heads, aragonite sand, dry reef rock. is pretty much the bare minimum
i wouldnt use rocks or sand from the ocean near you. i would start off with dry rock and sand and use the sea water and that should seed it pretty well
