Since I have a taller tank I'd like to hang a piece of driftwood from the top right corner so that it comes down into the tank. The only way I have thought of doing so is getting fishing line and tying it to my canister inlet. Was just wondering if anyone has done this and how you secured it so it wouldn't move around.

Do you have a center brace? this could cause issue depending on how heavy it is. Hood you can attach it to? I just put a plant in upside Down and like it. Fake of course.

I buy tank divider holders and tied the wood to it with fishing line. Then I just stick the suction cups wherever I want to secure it from moving. You can use it to keep it upright but I wouldn't completely hang a piece of heavy wood.

The tank has two center braces and the driftwood isn't heavy at all...pound...tops. It's just rather branchy which is why I like it.

I was thinking of something along these lines...

The driftwood base I want in the top right corner. So I was thinking of getting two plastic hooks that have those sticky backs and place them on the outside of the top frame brace one on each side of the corner - hook down. Then wrapping two lines fishing line along the base the driftwood and tying it off on the hooks.

i was thinking the same thing...sticky or suction cup hooks on the outside. I would use saltwater fishing line...like 35 pound test or something similar. I had some cheapo freshwater line that i used to tie down driftwood to a rock on the bottom of my tank. Every 6 months or so it would break loose. goodluck.

suction cup with a ring or hole on it so you can tie fishing line to it. Place one of them at the top of the tank inside and one at the bottom of the tank under the substrate both with fishing line and attached to the wood. After a while the wood will be waterlogged enough to take the bottom suction cup out.

It worked out nicely by the way. Now I just need an even larger piece to put on the bottom.
