I just purchased a 1.5" bolt catfish (Aguarunichthys torusos). I have some frozen bloodworms in the freezer, but i was wondering if there's anything else i should be giving him at this tiny size.

Agree! Do maintain good water as well! Helps to boost the growth rate!
I've found bloodworms really don't do much for growth, just keeps them alive... mostly water.
When there little, a good pellet with a high fat content will get them going in the right direction.. place the pellets directly in the bloodworms and then feed...GL would like to see pics.
