LEOPOLDI OR NOT LEOPOLDI ?

if you cant tell a leo from other rays do some resurch before looking to buy
 
??? research???? is that not what i have done? by researching other people opinion to back up my own opinion?
 
these rays are in the pic at only 2-3weeks old and yes on light sand, they are now darker and brighter white spots on bare tank bottom and just under 8 weeks old
they are 100% not leo x motoro, this has come to light here in uk due to another add for such hybrids at 325 each (got to be a joke)

their tails are 100% blunt short square paddles not round or pointed!! the pic posted does not in any way show the tail correctly

all have been sold now apart from one pair of hold backs! seems others saw the potential of these young but i cant help thinking this post was started due to a silly offer being refused and followed by bitter emails!!!
could be wrong but i very much doubt it lol

The pic posted in this thread is not a pure leo.

That ray has motoro blood in it.

There are members here who have been keeping black rays for many many years and can spot straight away.

About 8 months ago, I picked up a bd x Leo/motoro from a member. (but could not get pics of parents)
it looked very similar in colour. Also the tail was exactly like that.

Stunginbut> you seem very sure, can u get pics of parents ..that would shut us up.

If you want to throw money away buy a motoro hybrid the motoro gene is so strong they will always look like motoro

If but asking for a I'd is what you call research then you have a lot to lean

If you want a hybrid what will look like a black ray go for two black ray hybrid

At the very best a brown ray black ray hybrid will only look dark brown with a off white spot

It's up to each person what they buy.but if you are hoping for a brown black ray to look black forget it
