Same here, mine is only 8-9 inches and he won't even tolerate fake plants. He keeps chewing them off at the base......And he is fed every day!

My puffer likes pruning plants as well when she feels they are in her way...

I just bought a gold wolf fish and I really want to throw a couple of puffers in there with him but I am afraid of what might happen.

Not sure what size or what temperament the gold wolf has, but i would say probably not the best idea...
