most outgoing, personable fish for a 55gallon???

What is the most personable and outgoing fish that can be housed in a 55 gallon for life? something that will be interactive and not scared by high traffic/children around the tank often??

the fish could live alone, or with dithers... or even a group??

any suggestions?

I would have to say a south or central American cichlid such as a jack Dempsey or maybe a red devil, they actually get excited when you walk in the room and my Dempsey is still a baby but not scared at all and begs for food when I am in the room.
