So it has been 5 years since I had to part with my old pair, but now I once again have a creamsickle pair of Midas. I can't help myself and check Rapp's list every once in awhile. Last week it just so happened I saw this listed....

Amphilophus Citrinellus
“ “ 7-8” 65.00 cream sickle (red/orange & white)-very striking adult female midas

So I contacted Jeff and locked it in. She arrived yesterday, but the bagged leaked(She spined it I believe) and she was a bit stressed. Thanks to the gate guards Fedex had to make a second attempt at delivery and I wasn't home, so my wife quickly got her in the tank. She chilled underneath my huge sword which has shielded her from Junior. Today she is doing great, but is intimidated by his size. So I put her in a bag to give them a chance to get to know each other. This is how I have introduced past pairs, just didn't get to this time.

This definitely puts into perspective how massive Junior is. Very proud of this big guy and how far he has come.

I really hope it works out with these two. The size difference is undeniable. You have the most docile Midas that I have read about. Hopefully he will remain that way with his new female. She looks really nice and should look a lot better once she has adjusted to her new home and potential mate. Good luck and keep us posted.

Sick man. She has a real nice amount of white on her. Gonna make some really nice fry. Can't wait to see, he really seems to want whats in the bag lol.
Well, she was out before. She was just overwhelmed I think by stress and his size.
nice..he looks like dom deluise
LOL, maybe I need to get him a hat and call him Dom. lol
She looks great. Hope to see some fry soon.
Same to you Buddy, congrats on your spawn. Make sure to take some pictures and a video.

So far he is being very gentle. This morning they were swimming around the pots and flaring at a mirror I put up to keep him distracted while she adjusted. She seems to love to move around the plants and chill under the big one. Seems she doesn't need the pot to get away from him. he is unable to follow her through the plants/drift wood due to his size.

If you get them to breed, I will give you mad props.
Bust out your Barry White CDs, I want some frys.
Tubes were down when I left and they were cleaning the area up around the pot. 4 Days max and I will have fry. You guys just get me some bags to send them back with "Blue Demp" in. I got the box and heat pack.
