Thanks a lot. His color is really starting to come out now with a light green tint in addition to the blue and orange. Hes grown and changed a bunch since I got him a couple months ago.
Hey Reed, how does the aro do with the masive current you have in there for your atf? Btw Your tank stock right now is fantastic... right up my alley.
Hey thanks alot bro I appreciate that. Its taken a long time to get the filtration ready for the future size of the fish and rays but slowly planning everything out is beginning to pay dividends now haha.
I actually have not been running the big koralia mag 8 power heads for a few months now. Since I removed the Goliath back in January the Brevis african tiger has been much calmer and less stressed. He gets his exercise from patrolling back and forth the length of the tank with the arowana now.
I really hope they continue to get along like this. They literally swim right next to each other all day and seem to enjoy one another which is a real nice surprise. The aro does not mind the powerheads when I turn them on temporarily once a week to push any debris to the filter intakes. But I would not constantly run them with the aro in the tank, id be worried about stressing him out and not giving him a chance to rest.
There is a descent amount of current in the tank still, just from the 9" air disk driven by a 65lpm air pump and new filtration system I finally finished.
Moved him back into the main tank to see if he and the tiger can get along.
Im considering selling the tiger and keeping the aro. He really looks amazing in person.
