Id say kamfa or kamfa x

What you feeding the babies

Thanks for the compliment on my fish, spent $$$$ ordering up from thialand for some, a bunch came sick and the one i really wanted died, no pics of her on that thread only current healthy stock. Funny though my shortbody tex x and the large rd were fairly cheap bought locally in ny but from thia importers and i luv em.

I have a male zonatus love the yellow eyes on him, when they get big the black fades alot and they have really white bodies, itll be cool if your fry have the white body and papas pearl. You gonna keep some to see how it ends up. If you have any questions about breeding id be more than happy to shre my 2 cents....some things you can do to increase egg quantity and the amount of fry that survive. I posted a small exerp on the petzone kamfa thread last night. Related to breeding and sexing.

I'm feeding my juvies nls mixed with grand sumo. My cuban fry are getting nls grow formula.

Cool, the sumo is overpriced, you could buy astaxanthin and add it to your nls for the same effect and save some $$, i use nls, freeze dried mysis, and treat w/ frozen brine at that age, i dont even give a color addative(astaxanthin)....but i would if I had some just under bugeted for my projects

Info for astaxanthin

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Astaxanthin

Also more info
I would read the first few pages here to get some insight
RD knows his stuff

OK. Was just wondering cause he looks a lot like a female that I got from a guy in Riverside. I know he had a lot of them. Mine is SB Tex x KKP, I'm thinking yours might be the same or SB Tex x regular parrot. I'll try to snap a photo of my female to show you if she'll let me.

Really doesnt look at all like a tex, the pearling is not like that ona tex. Jakeca you have seen Bruce on my hybrid thread thats a fh x tex carpintis
Carpintis is called a tex but really a pearl cichlid, the tex has even less pearl none on the head and smaller pearl spots

This is my pure carpintis for reference, im sure you can see the pattern differance in pearling tex, red tex, and carpintis have this trait
