I don't get dmb, the songs are ok but vocals are terrible. Motley Crue were the kings of hair metal and the embodiment of sex, drugs and rock n roll. People who grew up in the 80s are too old to party like they did when the crue was big but young enough to still connect with their younger days which is why they are popular. Early ac/dc with Bon Scott and the stones are the pillars of blues inspired rock. Rush and Skynyrd are text book tradional rock and roll bands. If you can't appreciate ac/dc, the stones, rush, and skynyrd you probably don't like their genre.
Personally I don't get the Beatles, before Bob Dylan fixed them all they did was cheeky bubble gum pop songs. I can see why 14 year old girls were into them in the 60s but I am at a lost as to why young men today are enamored with them.
Now a days I listen mostly to artists that have been a while. I do not have the time and energy to find good musicians and the industry has no interest in marketing musicians anymore, just performers.
