Suppose they were all in a tank that was "about" 200 - 300 gallons? Or approximate tank diameter of 8x4x2. Do you think these guys could co-exist? Granted, I know this can be hit or miss because the temperaments of all fish can be slightly different but if I ever upgrade to a tank this size I thought it would be cool if they were all there together.

All big agressive fish... Its possible that they could live together, if all brought as youngsters, you will also need some luck! .... Bigger tank the better aswell imo when fully grown a 200 might be a bit small 300 would be much better!

Easily, in a 200 or 300 gallon tank is HUGE and is plenty for three cichlids. In fact, add a festae and buttikoferi. It would be an awesome tank.

In my 240 I have a Trimac, a Jag, an Oscar, a JD and a male Festae. They arent full grown and they have their normal jousting bouts but very rarely is there even a torn fin. Originally I did have a FH in there but she had to go. WAY too aggressive and nonstop attacking and chasing. Shes now happy in a 135g with an 7 1/2" Green Terror

Yeah, I had a 4-5 inch midas take over a 125 before so I'm trying to get a gauge on how big I need to go to have him in some type of community. I've also had a 4-5 inch JD take over a 125 one time and I've heard (experienced) that FH, Midas' and Jags are normally much more aggressive.

Nice! do you have pics or vids on youtube? that sounds like a great setup.

i will take a few pics of my 125gl and see if that can help you.

Do you have all 3 types in your tank? I would like to see...

side note - I use to live in Maryland... right in between DC and Baltimore. Is that large Fish Store still in Randlestown? I forgot the name but I remember I could spend hours in there looking at both fish and equipment.
