Young flowerhorn with vibrant colouration... does this indicate potential?

i have 4 FH, one is i believe is definite male, already starting to develop that slope on head and can see it will get a good head on it.

but that biggest one, that i think is male is only 2.5 inches tip to tip MAX, in the 1 month i got it, it has doubled in size, beast!
anyways, the colour is quite spoectacular and vibrant, does this indicate that when older, it will get more vibrant or will it start fading?

He was lose his colors when he turns into a grandpa.
