I just read on a website that Florida long nose gars get 40-60" long. While MFK says that one could live in a 6' by 3' by 2' tank. Who's got the accurate info? Can a I have a REAL full size for these guys? And also a little side question. Any ideas on how I could enjoy watching my gar "hunt" without feeders? (btw, if your wondering, I haven't bought a gar. I'm looking for more than one opinion on this.) and another side question, if floridas can fit in that size tank, is there any gar that will?

Are you referring to a Florida gar or a longnose gar? They're two separate species that grow to different sizes in captivity and have slightly different care requirements. A Florida gar will top out around 18-22" under average captive conditions while a longnose gar can get much larger than that.

As for letting it hunt, just keep it on a pellet diet once it's on pellets and give it a few quarantined feeders whenever you want to see it hunt.

So where could I get a FLORIDA gar? Preferably online.
