I want to build a sump for my larger tank virus just want to see how it will work by putting one on a 10 gallon and seeing if I like that. Is this too small of a tank for a sump? I just want to see how it turns out because I don't want too much water on my floor so I would like to try it on a smaller tank but not sure if it would work on a tank this size. Any ideas? Thanks

Any tank would work. You could put a 75gallon sump on a 10 gallon tank. However I'd recommend around a 5/5.5gallon. Anything smaller I could imagine being a pain to deal with.

wow ..no one is in the spirit of it.

do you want to do it to experiment? ..do you have the drive and want to do it?

than do it!!!

nothing is a waste of time if it is something you really want to do...and you gain valuable hands on knowledge while doing it!!

I say go for it!..hook up another 10 gallon for some monster filtration!!!!!...this site is not ONLY about the monster fish but the "monster way of thinking" about keeping fish ^_^ sup up that 10 gallon and make it truly monster. ^_^ i think a 5 gallon would work as well!!

pics if you do!

I feel nothing is a waste of time if it means better filtration. Go for it.
