was gunna say u better remove the jaguar but i see they got their own tank now. my jaguar actively hunts my convicts fry when they spawn. quite interesting to watch
I think that you should have a devider to seperate your male and female. Then when you notice your female about to lay eggs take the devider out. An old hobbyist that owns and runs a fish shop called D&K in San Diego told me about this little trick. I've tried it with my fish before and it worked. Saddly it was the males first time and he was unseccessfull due to his inexperience. Hope this helps with your project man. Thanks for following my Red Texas Project.any update pic for your fry ?
i try used my female midas with my golden flowerhorn, but every time my Fh will bit my female very damage, my ( male )gold flowerhorn have 7" , my female midas have almost 10 "... but the fh crazy, he want kill her everytime, and the female midas alwasy runninh or hide while he attack her!
any idea ?
thks
The "secret food" was just crushed up boiled egg yolk and crushed up fish food. It worked while it lasted and was an easy DIY. I'm not sure how much it affected their growth but in the end it didn't do any harm to the fish.what was the secret food.
Thanks for the input Black Jack. Yea the jaguar is a very interesting hunter. I like how they creep up on their prey. Saddly my jaguar died recently because she was being attacked by my breeding pair of escondido X Texas FH. I didn't know this was happening until it was already too late.was gunna say u better remove the jaguar but i see they got their own tank now. my jaguar actively hunts my convicts fry when they spawn. quite interesting to watch
More updates on my RT project. As the fry get bigger you can start to see pearling and their own distinct characteristics.
