Hi guys
I would like to had in my tank a GATF.
I have a 90 gallon but soon a 130 gallon .
In my tank a have Boulengerella maculata 5", polypterus 5" ,indo datnoid 5" ,tigrinus 6" ,tcup ray 5" and a flagtail 4".
Do you think its crazy to had a GATF 4" ?
3 of my fish stay on the ground and the maculata its always on top
Do you think i have space for the GATF?

Thank you guys

Pretty much all of ur fish will out grow a 130, tigrinus need like a 400.... Ur already way over stocked for a 130 let alone a 90 ... Research before u buy

No.

Do you know how large this fish gets? In addition to its huge size, it's an open water species, which in my opinion would be cramped even in a 1,000G tank. When all of your other fish grow out, your 130G will be too small for the fish you already have.

Im not sure what to make of your last post... Im guessing its a language barrier..

Anyway, to answer tour question, once you have a 10,000G tank setup go ahead and buy a GATF, but untill that time i would say no. Its not a good idea...

u shuld be okay as long as u get a good sized GATF that wont fit in anyones mouth vice versa, but ur gonna need a bigger tank in the future.

I don't thing GAFTs should even be kept in captivity. their size plus their natural behaviour are completely unsuited to aquaria life. If you must have a tigerfish get a smaller species in addition to a MUCH larger tank

might as well not have any fish in captivity you donkey

GAFTS in the wild get 5-6 feet long and 180-200 pounds, but unlike many larger species kept by members which are relatively sedetary Goliaths are far more active. They live in a massive river system connected to huge deep lakes and spend their lives constantly cruising this entire territory for food. Compare this to much more sedetary fish and for it's size you need beyond unrealistic tank dimensions. Even Pimas could be kept in relatively smaller tanks then GAFTs

^ not to mention a fish that size with those teeth could do some major damage... If a person could get them to that size...
