IMO, stand your ground means stand your ground, Zimmerman did that at the time of their altercation....but before that, he stalked a teen who had his back to him then blasted him when his own actions lead him into trouble. I think you have to be biased to think its ok to STALK people and expect the stalked person to not feel victimized or threatened.

Agreed. He was told that he was NOT needed to follow him. Neighborhood Watches are supposed to be unarmed, it keeps them from doing stupid stuff like being confrontational. That didn't require a race card to be played, it already stank. One thing that bothers me and has bothered me from the moment it was revealed he HAD a record, with his record, how on earth did that pinhead GET a permit to carry concealed?

Someone brought up Martin may have had a past, you should bring up Zimmerman has an arrest for assault of a cop from 6 years ago. I don't think either of the teen/man's past or character matter. All that matters is what happen that night.
Say martin had been a woman, all you men ok with Zimmerman following your wife or gf or sister in the middle of the night cuz she in his opinion looks suspicious?

since only one person was there, we're ALL looking at it from the outside. if the reason the shooter felt the teen was suspicious is because he's black....then clearly it's a hate crime. how he dresses, acts, looks, etc etc etc has nothing to do with his intentions

I don't think it should be a hate crime unless he wanted to hurt him because he was black. We're always too eager to scream hate crime in my opinion. Like the south park episode on hate crime

like i stated earlier, this is not a case that should be on the national stage, this is a local thing, i get the feeling the power that be are trying to distract us while they pass overwhelming intrusive internet bills to spy on everyone
