My fish room smell. Help i need all know ways to keep smell down in a fish room

More electricity :( and even more keeping tanks 82 in winter and cool in summer. Gerr
 
You don't need to keep Central Americans (or most tropical fish for that matter) 82 degrees. My fishroom is usually mid-70s (and I keep primarily new world cichlids). Turn your heaters (or thermostat down) - More than enough energy savings to permit a fan :)

Tell me please that your sleeping area is separate from the small room with hundreds of gallons of fish tanks / rotten fish for 5+ days? Was your girlfriend stuck in it until you got home?

Hello, can anyone inform me of the pro's and con's of using beef heart's or brined shrimp. I have blue wolf cichlids (dovii). Is this a good idea to feed them that all the beef heart are bought from the fish store or does it matter. Please advise me thanks.

only feed beef heart as a treat like 2-3 times a month it is real fatty and not good for them if feed often. Brine shrimp aint too bad and can bee fed more often.

I had a large LMB (~12-13") die on me a few months ago, I left around 8 am, got back around 5 pm and the smell already had my room smelling awful. Since he was solo in that tank, I broke everything down and took it outside, but the room still stunk. I opened the window, ran two fans and by the morning it was alright. I can only imagine that after 5 days, it must smell right nasty. The suggestions here are all good but get those windows open if you can, blow the fans and clean that tank good, big water change. Hope the GF survived, haha.
 
Hello; One pointless comment; A couple of wives and several girlfriends have come and gone with only one wife that may have been able to remove a dead fish on her own. My tanks are still with me, some over 40 years old. My tanks were never an issue in the relationships, as far as I know. I never had to choose tanks over a girlfriend. The wife that stayed around the longest would have had the dead fish out the first day. If I find another willing to put up with me and my tanks, it would be great if she could do something like that. Probably a fantasy on both counts.
