The price of the filter will depend on your method of filtration (hob, diy wet/dry filter, canister filter, etc...) I find that the tanks in Toronto are pretty expensive so about 300-350 for full tank setup and 100-150 for bare tank, however if you are patient you can find some good deals. Again the fish cost will vary depending on the fish you get but I got a breeding group of yellow labs (2M 3F) for $20. You can find rocks for free or very cheap and play sand is $6-7 for a 50lb bag(get pfs if you can find it)

Ya I agree to just wait and look around Craig's list. I got a 72 gallon bow front tank with a stand and a 400$ coralife lighting system for 300$, just needed a filter so I got the cascade 1500.

I don't know if you want to buy every thing brand new but you can do it for much less than 700.
Probably 100-300 depending on the deal you get (however I have seen some for free or less that $1 per gallon)

im getting either 1 oscar 75 or 100-144g tank with 1 albino tiger oscar one tiger oscar or 75-144g mbuna cichlid tank. just always scare dthat it says 75 fish store or online but really is 50g or 60g like i really dont mind 1 or 2 gallons off but less than 10 than it says it is il be angry so il have to measure the tank amke sure its really that many gallon it says it is but online theres no refunds!

If it says 75 gallon on the website the tank in the store is 75 gallons(you can measure it if you want to make sure).....but I highly recommend that you buy a used tank as it is much cheaper.

ahhh whoops nvm.....To answer your question $700 would be a total rip....The top link I posted comes with every thing you need except for sand, rocks, heater and fish.
I would say no higher than $400
However if you find a good deal you could do it for $100-150
