What temp do you keep them at? I have a Sun fish like yours but not as bright, he's usually darker grey all the time with a little blue on the face.

Even if you've used dechlor, those fish would be unsafe to eat. People have done it in the past and gotten sick, that's the major reason its not popular on here....

That and aquarium fish taste like crap compaired to natural wild caught.

I let the tank stay room temp. I have a 10k / actinic combo over the tank. Makes everyone's colors really pop.
