i second the hikari best pellets ever imo.and yes is does the same as a person get too fat too fast and you will have health complications too

I feed my cichlids (three oscars and three jack dempseys) hikari gold medium pellets. They are all around 2"-4". I feed them whenever they swim up to the glass. Usually around 3 times a day but in smaller portions then morning feeding. I'm gonna cut down on feeding though.

I would but he's shy and when I feed him the hikiri pellets he chews on them and spits them out ?

Going out of town 4 three days by the time I get back hel be very hungry and that might force him into eating pellets lol Its worth a shot ?

3 days is a little long. If he's too small he won't be able to survive such. A Long time without food. I may be wrong though

His fish has gone a week w/o food once I'm his best bud so I know I would never starve my fish tho I lovethem too much

I believe male. Not certain though. Great looking jag!perfect size for my liking. Lol love cichlids at around that size
