Like the titles says? What species; and how long have they been eating pellets?

My Black Rhom has been on pellets for about 3 years now, I think it's actually making him grow slower.

my shoal of rbp eat o1 pellets but i only throw a few dozen in a few times a week, and i rotate raw shrimp/talapia everyother day and they are very healthy and active! Never just feed pellets, u wanna give him variety! Talapia is very good, just get a 2"x2" chunk and throw it in there, not messy and he will love it!

When my rhom gets bigger i plan on the same diet but for now its nps .5mm pellets and bloodworms

And what kind of pellets? I always read the label and choose the highest protein

Hikari Massivore Delite, I used to feed Tilapia and market shrimp, but he seems to like the pellets more, so I stick to that.
YOU NEED VARIETY! That will help alot, and ive heard some bad things about hikari! A rhom isnt supposed to just eat cereal his whole life!

Lol, you don't understand, he doesn't like anything else... Therefore he's sticking with massivore lol.

Well thats too bad for him.

My shoal used to only be fed live before i got them and i didnt feed for a couple weeks and they started taking anything! Ive never heard of a serrasalmus ONLY being fed pellets! If you dont feed him for a few days and throw a raw shrimp in there i can almost promise he will eat it and absolutly love it! Just be patient, you wont starve him to death, and he will learn to accept w/e u feed him!

This is why his growth is extremly slow!

Ha, I know how to switch fish over to pellets and different foods, but he absolutely will not take anything else. I've tried all different things, I've had him for aboooooout 6 years now.

what size is he now, and what size you got him 3 years ago?

He's about 6-7" now I'd guess. And 3 years ago, probably about 4"? I got him when he was only 0.5" long about 6 years or so ago.

6 years and 5 or so inches or growth?

A FISH CAN BE TRAINED TO EAT W/E FOOD YOU BUY! IF HES HUNGRY HE WILL EAT, YOU JUST HAVE TO CUT HIM OFF OF PELLETS FOR AWHILE.

just my advice, anywho good luck with that ive given my advice in how ive succesfully dealt with similair matters, if anything buy different pellets with other nutrients in it! Or krill or something. P
