I don't think that it's even legal to possess natives in CA...

It doesn't matter. CA is extremely strict when it comes to keeping fish, and there are very few exceptions; you can't even legally transport a native/non-ornamental warmwater fish from one place to another unless it was legally caught and is dead. I have bullheads, channel, striped bass, grass carp,etc. pretty much all Kentucky, Ohio natives

Well I have natives, but they are not CA natives. I keep some florida sunfish, blue spotted and pygmy. What is the law regarding trade of this? Anyone know?

Those ones are fine if I remember correctly; the laws have some strange aspects to them, though.
