1. As a woman living in America.. I like not being foced to abort my children because the government tells me so...( Granted I know a few people that oughtta be neutered.. but thats the part of the downside of being in a free country.. EVERYONE has freedom to choose.. good or bad..)
2. I don't really know where to begin on the original topic... while I am in support of exotics being tracked ect.. I know a few peopel with them, one owns a zoo.. and i've heard how fun it is dealing with the authorities over asanine stuff.
3. It's good to be in the US... and if you don't like I concur with the statement "Then GTFO, more room for me" ... Oh and I fully support my husband shooting anyone trespassing at 2am... I said shoot to kill, not wound. so the jack*** can't sue us for trying to rob/harm us.
At the end of the day our pets are not humans.. and PETA stands for people eating tastey animals (don't get me started on those crazies)... but I also take very seriously animal care, even if it is for food. and I would still like ot meet Micheal Vick in a dark alley one night..
But one point made that i will agree with, Animal cruelty is bad for society, many studies have linked it to child abuse and spousal abuse, and liekly abusers in general....Laws don't need to change.. the punishments just need to be more severe imo.

Awww, I was hoping you(OP) would've rebutted my perception is not necessarily reality post, but then again it was a pretty good point on my part and would be hard to refute without empirical data.lol! Oh I will give you some advice though, seriously try not to get bent out of shape when someone disagrees with you. It doesn't mean they're attacking you, just means they have a difference of opinion. It also doesn't imply that they think they're better than you, just that they're passionate about what they believe. Save the frustration for the times when someone does actually attack you here cause it's bound to happen at one point or another. Just do what I do enjoy the conversation and the chance to exercise your linguistic skills. It's always better to convince somebody whose a challenge and capable of intellectual responses than those who just give in. And just to let you know so there's no misunderstandings when I put lol! it's because I'm having a good time debating something or think what I wrote was a funny way of expressing a point. It's not to demean you in anyway or your points. I know writing on a forum can get misinterpreted at times.
We need more restrictions on species kept. Not more govt up our arse's. I don't think the OP relaizes where this will ultimately end up. He has an idea of animal cruelty, well there are many who think keeping any and every animal in a box away from the natural habitat is cruel. It wont stop at species restrictions. Eventually your tank will be empty.

Because there isn't any interest in fish like that here.. I see ID sharks and motoros everywhere, and keeping those causes the exact same problems. It's not that the fish aren't that available because people here were more responsible, that's utter Bs. People here are hardly different than in other countries. You need to stop thinking that Germany is a superior country, because it's not.
