silver hujeta gar?

so i walked into my lfs today and saw some these little guys as i cant get get ali.gars or to large of ones are these the nxt best thing? does anyone have any expirence with them can i mfit 3 in a 75 gal? can they live wit african cichlids?

Yes I had 4 in a 60 and it looked like it was empty pretty cool fish they are more active then gars they eat and still swim around unlike gars who are full and just lay there try to get them on krill,ghost shrimp,bloodworms and a couple guppies here and there not as a main food if you browse through my topics or posts you might see mine with my old fire eel

Yes I tried betta fish same size as mine but the gar had it in he's mouth by the time I grabbed the net only the tail was hanging out so I let him eat it,get anything that's too big for him to swallow because he's mouth stretches pretty big nothing to aggressive or you'll end up with both fish hurt,I had mines with tyre track eel,fire eel,yellow rail cudas,red tail cudas, marble gars like the ones the other person posted they aren't called spotted nor Florida the ones they posted were marble gars just like hujetas just diff color,bichirs like pollis,albino and delhezi bichirs,well that's what I had mine with anyway lol

I didn't say they were Florida gar I said they were spotted african pike and they are also called this I have a Florida gar also that I said it would fit in a 75gal if you do a web seach on spotted African pike these will come up also

Someone is mad I didn't mean it in a wrong way I didn't know it bothered you soooooooo much to be wrong or for someone know your wrong no Florida gars need atleast one80 gallon tank

Just read the whole thing before you call some one out on something and really you are going to tell be 5 gals of water is going to make a difference in keeping a gar :):)

gars don't just lay around all day. i have tanks full of them and they move around the same if not more then my hujeta ever did.

to the op

i had mine with mbuna africans and african peacocks. no problem. mine took shrimp after some work and it eventually broke its back on a jump. i tried to have a small jardini grow out with it. didn't work. i have an empty 75gal that i am thinking about doing a shoal of them with african peacocks.
