Anyone know how I can get a yellowish coloring out of my water? or why its there?

could it be time to change the media/carbon&bio in my canister filter?
Any advice at all would be appreciated im stumped :irked:

Thanks
-Mike

Time to change the carbon, either that or you have some wood in the aquarium leaching tannins into the water.

ahhh ok. Thanks you! Its gotta be the carbon cuz i only have one peice of drift wood and its tiny

Even the smallest piece of dw can cause you water to turn yellow

Tank Setup - 135gal, fx5, mag350, korilla 4, 3 silver dollars, 3 Red blood parrots, 12" Green severum, 10 coreys (3 emerald & 7 swarts), 2 black spotted eels, 22" fire eel, 24" clown knife, sun catfish, and leopard plaeco

Replaced the carbon and the water is exponentially better. Is there anyway to stop driftwood from releasing tannins?
