Can rays have many pregnancys off one mating

Can rays produce more than one litter off one breeding?
Anybody know biology of rays reproductive system. Not all rays are the same also. Pota have evolved to last long durations without eating ect...
I know they can get pregnant from more than one male now?

There is a school of thought that say yes, a single female can be impregnated by two males at the same time due to how the reproductive system is designed. We talked about it back at the Symposium at Shedd several years ago. I want to say someone had actual proof, but I'd be lying if I said I could remember who it was.

Todd (Cool MBU) had a litter of 2 male pups that seemed to be fathered by two different fathers.

The full marble pup I owned for quite a while and now is with a good freind, still appears to be full marble, no leo at all.

But I think the OP was asking if from a single successful breeding if a female can have multiple litters, like we see in some reptiles were the female will store/retain sperm and lay multiple batchs of eggs one after another without being with a male inbetween.

my friend has proof ive seen in the flesh about duel mates.

and now almost more proof that they can get pregnant more than once that would give explanations for people have pups and a few weeks later haveing more!

I know...sorry do not know the answer. If I had to guess I would say they do not only because I would assume people would have posted about having pups without ever having a male - when breeders sell out or change the rays they are keeping.
