(Not sure if this is the right section, if not, can someone move it? Thanks..)

Just bought some Manzanita driftwood for my tank, it sank in just 3 days. So I’m happy about that. Though, it’s got some fluffy, fuzzy white stuff growing on it now.

Is this stuff safe for my tank? Safe for fish?

If not, how do I get rid of it, and make sure it doesn’t come back?

Thanks guys..

Can’t really see it in the pictures, but its white and fuzzy(ish).

That would be my guess.I have had it pop up on pieces that I have had for years and I could not get an answer as to what it is.I have been told that it is harmless but I don't like the looks of it.It even came back after removing and scrubbing the wood so I no longer use the wood.

That might be interesing to see.
