Fuzzy/Fluffy White Stuff Growing on Manzanita Driftwood...?

Which lead to an interesting question...if a death cap mushroom falls in water and some fish ate it, will the fish die?

it's too generic a question. what is poisonousness to one animal may not be poison to another. look at all the stuff we can eat that will kill a dog. tomatoes, onion, grapes, chocolate...
tylenol is toxic to dogs, aspirin is toxic to cats.

I had some white stuff on my malasian driftwood a while back.

It attached itself to a jack dempsey I had, and was a nightmare to nurse him back to health.

I don't think all of the white stuff that grows on driftwood is the same. Most, I believe, is harmless. But I took the advice of others on this board and considered it harmless, and it definitely attached itself to my JD and made him very ill. Not saying that is the type that you have, but I'd scrub it off if I were you and I had to do it again.

Just my .02 from having a bad experience with the white fluffy stuff on driftwood before.
