If you have a power converter for you car you don't even need to buy a battery powered one. They will be fine in the bucket if you just replace the water while ur fishin

dont stick em in a bucket with no air for extended periods.. believe it or not they do pretty well when that doesnt happen.

andrew, you need to chill. they died because you put a bunch in there and now you're gonna get "a ton more" as you said in another thread and they're gonna die as well. Bream/Sunfish can get nearly oscar sized and produce a lot of waste. as of now whether your 500 happens or not you only have a 55g tank and its already stocked. there is no reason for you to keep these fish knowing they are going to die.

My neighbor has some bass in his pond that he caught. They have become amazingly tame and will come to him and eat out of his hand.

I want to know how to make some different types of American natives survive? I put a couple longear sunfish with some bluegill after I caught them. They were in a 3 gallon bucket with a bunch of plants. They died. Will air pumps help them survive? How can I make them survive for up to 16 hours? Any advice? Could I string them up over night? Or would the turtles and big fish eat them?

Do you like air?????? ....Wow.. seriously... Yes they need air! They need filtration as well or the toxins from their own waste will kill them as well.. :banhim:

Never "string up" a fish you dont intend on eating/ killing. Itd be like putting a spike with string attached throygh your lungs... .and expecting you to live all night.....it does irreversable damage to the gills
