I drove 4 hours one way to get there. It was the one in Oklahoma city.

The auction starts... and there are betta. Two hours later... there are still betta. The friend I went with paid extra to have some fish he wanted moved to the front of the line, but for the most part there wasn't anything worth while there. Mostly just... Betta. I would have imagined if we stayed another hour and a half, they still would not have been done with the betta.

are all fish auctions this lackluster and full of betta? If betta are aggressive and territorial, why aren't they called alphas?

It depends on what people in the area are keeping and breeding and the kinds of clubs involved.

We provide access to the auction list via www.mygroupauctions.com to give folks an idea of what's up for auction. Sellers can still register and bring stuff the day of the auction, but at least its an idea.

its always different. I've been to GCAS and CAFE in ohio and it changes every time. mostly it sticks to guppies, africans and occasional SA/CA cichlids. but they do get some cool oddballs. thats where i picked up my 6" ornate for $22
