Congrads on your gators! When you have a chance can we see some pics of em? :) My husband picked up two of em for me yesterday. The smallest little things you have ever seen! They were labelled as gator gars but they look like Florida Gar's to me, what do you guys think?

Those look like longnose gars to me.

Agreed, this is a longnose gar, not a gator. Gator will have MUCH larger eyes, shorter broader snout as well as a spotted pattern.
 
Really? Wow...wasn't thinking that at all, they never have long noses in my area! I'll take some pics later on and post em. They got a little darker since I took the pics above.
 
Yeah Kevin that's what I told my husband, I never seen baby gator gars in my area, all of em like 5 inches and higher but I know a friend whom had one at just shy of 3 inches. And it had the larger eyes, broader snout and a cool spotted pattern with the white line going from his head to his tail. Never the less these guys are definitely sweet gars!
