here lies the problem with a public forum.......... the public, have you ever had a customer service job, people are borderline retarded ,

This may sound like a crazy thing, but pictures to me are the biggest pain. My building is at about 90 degrees from April through November and about 80 from December through March. There is so much condensation that forms on the glass that I literally have to move the fish out of the building to get a good pic. Otherwise you get crappy photos from all the moisture. I am however open to opinions.
 
Or you can have one guy with a bunch of towles wipe each tank before you snap the photo.. I'm not sure how many tank you have but it would only have to be don once in a while when you add new stock..

I think it might be worth the cost to have a professional come in and photograph your breeders and facilities for your website. There are also a lot of hobbiest with really nice cameras. If you could find someone within a few hours you could possibly even pay them with a nice group of fish. I think it could definately be a huge upgrade to your website and increase sales. The people that deal with you already know you have great stock and we do spread the word. But to someone that just stumbles across your website you are counting on your huge CA stock list to bring in the sale. Good quality photo's would be a great addition. I think people would be astounded by your numbers of fish and the rarity of some of the fish you are breeding.

Op, kudos on the apology I read the post about lack of resonse and was confused due to my dealing with Dan.Excluding barberboy12 everyone on this thread has my utmost respect for thier mature dedication to this hobbey. I have had only one expierience dealing with Dan and am pleased with the outcome. Jgentry had great advice as many hobbiests are into photography. You could also use pics from your customers. I d give pics of the cichlids you provided to me. Unfortunately not many compared to your stock list but a combined response from past pleased customers could probably fill the site with images. You would be able to include quotes from these previous customers and get a quantitude of grow out pics possibly not avaiable in the hatchery. My purchase was recently, birthday present to myself in march, and the breidorhi has grown rapidly, exeeding my expectations in the short time period.

I often wonder how people function in this world after hearing some of the questions when I had this type of job....

BUT back on topic - I haven't been following any of the drama, but I'm going to track down your website and check it out. And I would say that even though it's a pain, pictures do matter. Previous customers may know you have great stock but the average person coming to your site may be turned off if they don't like what they see. Fair or not, it matters....
 
haha yes, all the worst jobs in the world are the ones where you have to deal with random people. the public. haha
