Ok observations after owning a rhom for an hr.

1. he's not scared or skittish at all. i had to adjust a heater till he came over to see what was up.
2. if the light bothers him his curiosity out weighs it. I've watched him for an hr and he's watched me for an hr.
3. Chin rub isn't a defect. its a battle scar. its a trophy he wears proudly. its a badge of honor that says "i back down to nothin"

Chin rub is also known as a CHIMMPLE and is a sign that the fish rubs against the glass alot! Usually a sign of cramped space or aggresive conditions, given a 150 id say this will heal asap! Rad fish mine is 1" growing out, cant wait till hes a beast!

I think so. Mine does the same thing when I get close. Shakes side to side a little and chomps at me. Its hilarious since he's only 4".

Thanks guys this is probably going to be his home for life unless i get a great deal on a big cube. this fish has me excited about the hobby again. ill try to get some better pics since he settled in he is showing amazing Goldstein and oranges.
