and if we do, and we break it...
too bad. that's why we had you sign the waiver.
:nilly:
only 2 calls out of 12 paid off with movers that would move it. One tried to pawn me off on a piano mover, but when I called them and said "aquarium" she cut me off.
we don't move aquariums.
:irked:
so I called them back and did get a quote, with no guarantee of delivery.
it's only a 300...
makes me wish I had some friends.

I know what you're talking about. Had my tank stored in a moving/storage facility for almost a year until our fishroom was to the point that we could move the tank in. I paid $$$$ to have the movers move my tank from their facility to my house, and they also said they would not be responsible for any damages to the tank. My husband said there were some tense moments when they moved the tank from the moving truck through the uncompleted wall onto the stand. He had to yell at them to stop several times or the tank would have been damaged. He said there were several close calls.

As for friends, we're old....and so are the people we know. I didn't need any one to blame me for their pre-existing back problems. Is your tank acrylic or glass? My husband and his son got our 300 acrylic tank on its stand...maybe that's why he has back problems :(

over here you can hire the illegal immigrants at home depot.

yeah, they work for cheap!......I had the same problem when I was moving out of my 2nd story apt w/the 200g.All my sons said they would do it,then refused after they got there.Of course it was an appointment so the tank was drained and fish were in buckets,so finally I found movers that were actually 2 dudes who rented a truck and just did it(with a little help)from me.It was not fun,but we got it done.not one scratch. All My Sons suck!!.............and before someone asks,it was Hanz and Franz who moved it UP the stairs,no problem.I couldn't find them, when I was moving out.

hmmm. I don't know about the home depot, maybe it's the tim hortons up this way. if it is, I don't think I'd want them to do any heavy lifting.
do canadians even want to come into the US?

we do have a college here, I used to work there, so I know better than to hire those kids.
