Why my datnoid eat a bit each time?

I have four datnoid,1ngt, 2ntt and 1IT . I feed them twice a day and they are feed with feeders but they eat a bit each time(2 goldfishs or less each time). lazy too, dont got to the top for food . they around 4-5" in a 5 feet tank and
Almost always stay in one place(not active). My nitrate level is below 5ppm, ph around 7.2 and it is fine for datnoid . Tankmates : 1aro 25", 1sliver dollar 6",1 stingray 7-8" and 4 foil bark 4"

They are ambush hunters right? Never owned one, but they don't seem to be too active any I've seen.

they are like that.. takes them awhile to settle in.. dont feed them feeders anymore.. go for pellets

I feed my IT and NGT dats shrimp and pellets, and my dats down them like crazy. With feeders I would guess the dats stalk and ambush their prey, so obviously they cant eat tons of the feeders all at once.
