Official TANKED (Television Show) Discussion Thread

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Yeah I saw that and it looks kinda stupid. If the tank was custom built to conform around the TV it would look better. Similar to the shape in the pic I posted.

That's a cool tank... But I'm not sure about the next person, but I wouldn't want to cover up the view of the fish with TVs. Kind of defeats the purpose in my opinion.

I tried to watch but can't. It offers no information, it's just a reality show (and not a very good one) with fish tanks.

I think both shows need less drama and more learning and direct involvement for the sport.
Both shows would be a great way to introduce the hobby to new people but who wants to watch a fish soap and not learn anything. They could talk about filtration and why they chose it for that application or what steps they took to put the fish in the new setup. If you watch them they make it look like you can take a garden hose fill up a tank and drop 5,000 dollars worth of fish in it. what a joke!

If I want to talk/hear about filtration, I'll come on here. I don't think the regular tv viewer wants to watch 15 minute segment on pros and cons of filtration options for any given setup they're doing.

And that is certainly up 2 you. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion even if its wrong.(like yours)

I have now watched 3 episodes and am very opposed. Building a tank into a skate ramp? A pitchers mound ? Nobody in their right mind would put fish in that type of living environment and can you imagine how stressful the noise is for these fish? Honestly, it really does seem cruel. Not to mention the other issues others have posted as well. Just cruel all the way around !

It's an opinion....its not about right and wrong. however, i personally feel pretty sure the average tv viewer is not watching the show hoping they spent a lot of time watching explanations about the filtration.
