How Far would You go for your beloved Pet??

read again, i said not like your own child, not that it's not like your sibling

and yeah...i do know how people feel about their pets/family, you guys tell me on here every damn day. ever notice there's atleast 2-3 dog threads a week? def one of the top 5 reoccuring topics

it's pretty obvious that people place different value on different pets, some people view their fish as a family members while not caring to much about their cat, hamster, dog etc etc. Doesn't change the fact that most people would not drop 60k to get a pet back. easy to say now, but when put in the situation, i really doubt you'd drop 60k

Man I hate that phrase.

Totally agree, our pets are like members of the family. Wouldn't a father do anything he possibly could for his child?

You obviously don't have children. Nothing can even come close to the bond a real father had with his children. No dog no cat no fish no woman. Dogs ain't little fury people.
When I got divorced I left with my harley, my jeep, my dog and my clothes. I loved my dog rath like I can't even explain, outside of the weekends with my girls, he was the only piece off my family I had left when she was done with me. At 8 years old he got senile and snapped at my youngest daughter. Now my best friend sits in a box on my dresser. Nothing compares to a child. Nothing

And no I wouldn't drop $60,000 fighting to get my dog back. I just say come dog and walk away........

You don't know that and for you, maybe, but not for everyone. People love differently, bond differently and obviously have selective compassion (not saying you do but people in general). The love I feel for my cat is the same love I'd feel for my child, only in a varying degree. Does it make that wrong? No. And if so, how? The love I feel is from a motherly view, to protect, to nurture, to cherish, to die for. That doesn't make one party less insignificant or less loved. When it comes down to it, love is love is love, no matter the source it came from.

It's interesting that some people want to fling mud and say whatever the opposite side of the spectrum is wrong or must be missing something. Truth is, we're all different. Krich is still cool in my eyes even though he feels motherly toward his cat....and sumo is still cool even though he wouldn't drop a dime to get a dog back.
