How Far would You go for your beloved Pet??

If I was given a bite report that stated things as she described them. I would have put it as an unprovoked bite impounded that dog wrote her parents a ticket, and recommended they either completely retrain the dog with a behaviorist or euthanize it. that bite wasn't an accident imo.

the bite was definitly an accident.. i am telling you ..the dog was playing and snapping at the wind.. just like you would do if you had no hands.. catch the wind and it would be gone.. just like a soap bubble... thats all there was too it.. but my sister leaned in and the dog and her more or less connected at the precise second.. the dog had absolutely no intention of biting then or anytime for the rest of its life.... It was with 8 kids.. this dog was like the 9th kid..we would have certainly seen some sign long before this....this dog loved to play her heart out.. there are some circumstances when you don't have to be a rocket scientist to realize that some dogs do not deserve their demise because of innocent play.. i know dogs ...all types.. and yes i do agree about the tail wagging is not always a sign of a happy dog... you need to look at all the insignificant little actions that are in itself very significant.... by putting the whole thing together.. the ears, the eyes , the body lanquage etc. you judge the situation....this dog was not annoyed... no way.. she was enjoying all the attention..she just thought it was fun..

You said it was a.cut by her eye right? Here's the thing. If the dog truely bit her she would've gotten more than a few stitches by her one eye. If that dog wanted to bite her it would've clamped down on her face and done mote damage. Sounds like she just got grazed but bad enough to get some stitches. I understand where your coming from. Buy I bet she never did that again.

your right... she never did that again.. and yes the cut was just a straight line.. not jagged edged or double .. one tooth probably scraped more then actually cut.. young skin is delicate..
