Like stated above - if the tank is large enough.
Also the larger they get, the more the conspcefic aggression will come out.

I'm think I'll up grade to a 125gal after the two pairs are bonded. And sell the rest of the females.

Will do there all around the 4" mark right now so it shouldn't tank long I hear these guys breed like rabbits.

They breed a lot when young and then slow way down as they grow. If you want to keep any of the females alive I highly recommend you use a divider once pairs are formed. Males are relentless and will descale a female in a 90g or 125g in no time.

I got one pair of Escondido from a guy in Joliet. And I just picked up 5 regular pearl scaled from a guy in woodridge.

You may be able to keep 2 pairs in a 125, although I believe you should install a divider. If you do, the 2 pair seeing each other on either side of the divider may strengthen the pair bond of each pair.
If I read right, you are saying 2 are true Escondido and 5 are aquarium strain carpintus. If so you would need to call the young simply carpintus, but not Escondido. Unless I read wrong and all are true Escondido.

Yea 1 pair are Escondido. The other are f1 from don conkels. But I'm thinking of keeping them all and grow till they grow out a bit till they start picking on each other. and then just keeping the Escondido pair . The guy I got the Escondidos from said they carry the domaint gene so if they did separate in to two different pairs they would produce Escondido.
