did you try cutting worms in half? a little blood & guts might help if the worms still wiggle.
my f1 peru was sulking from the move & those kicked his appetite into high gear. he's smaller than yours.

they feel timid in QT if they've always had tank mates.
I waited a few days then put a fish with him [just for part of a day] to boost his confidence. He roamed around more & was braver even after I removed it.
The 2nd time I put him with other fish, the O was real aggressive, more than usual baby O's.
so he's alone for now.

Sometimes I tape a mirror flat against the outside of his tank. He attacks it, then lays there staring at himself. LOL.

Beautiful orinoco!

I nearly bought one of these from the same lot. Seeing yours I should have!

Thanks :) and yeah I think he was with others before I bought him...it may be why he is so timid now...I may need to get a fish in there to get him going, then remove it....we'll see, he's so cute though he will swim around fine and if I stand up he will fall on his side like he's dead, when I walk away he will be up swimming around :)

this will sound dumb..what is a prawn?

Not dumb. They are just larger versions of shrimp. You can buy them in the seafood area at most grocery store
