hey i have a 130 gallon tank i have three filters that are for a 100 gallon fish tant and i only have 3 tiger oscars and 1 albino oscar and i was wondering if i can put a catfish or something else in there idk if its maxed out guy at petsmart said you need 25 gallons per adult oscar and my oscars are just 3 inches thanks!!!
:nilly:

yes with 3 oscars when they are full grown u are maxed out...

The normal rule is atleast a 75g tank for 1 adult oscar, not 25 gallons.

^+1

In my 75g I have a oscar with a 8" tire track eel with an Fx5 and Im doing 50% water changes a week. If I dont keep up with the water changes my oscar starts to show HITH.

Did the guy at Petsmart think that the 3" oscars are already adults? I shouldnt be surprised anymore but still...

I would say it would be fine to have a small catfish in there at the moment, given that the oscars are only 3 inches. But really once they are all fully grown that tank could fit 3 oscars only

From the sound of it after reading the original post, it sounds like you actually have 4 O's. 3 tigers and 1 albino.

I would say you are definitely overstocked. I know that they are small now but they won't be for long.

Expect growth at about 1 inch per month, as long as filtration, water changes and quality food are provided.

Honestly, 2 O's in a tank that size is more appropriate then the 4 you have now; although you may be able to get away with 3.

If these O's were a recent purchase I would try to take 2 back, then you can start looking for tank mates and dithers.

Just my opinion. :)
