girst big tank!!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
well find me a guppy that will survive 1000-2000gph and id be impressed. if i used feeders which i did they were rosies that i fattened up and got healthy or more would end up in my filter than in my fish. dead rotting guppies = more bioload. just my .02 also those of you that have ever owned a canister and have ever read about them know manufacturer specifies certain amount of drop from water level. lift the canister up and it struggles and just to see i tried and my 305 throws air makes a grinding noise and flows near nothing g.. someone asked for help and this is my experience. believe me or not but the flame is unnecessary.

lift the canister up and it struggles and just to see my 305 throws air. do what you want it isnt my tank.

Lol and that's the difference between a canister with a top mounted impeller and a canister with a impeller mounted I'm the bottom. A perfect example would be a marineland mag 250 it sets on the back of the tank and the top of the filter is above the waterline and the tank. I've also ran my fx5 & mag 350 on top of the tank before. Both filters have bottom impeller placements.

well i know my mag 350 had same issues because i made a bracket to hang it like the h.o.t. ones. major fail
