  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Personally speaking, i always say go for the biggest you can maintain and afford...

Since as most of us know, it wont be long till you want to go bigger

I have a 120 (48x24x24). I'm a short guy and don't have problems. a 150 would be. the 120 is ideal for aquascaping. the extra 6 inches of depth does'nt sound like much but it's a world of difference.

I am physically unable to so building stands,cleaning,ect...can be a impossible thing to do at times but always find the strengh to at least clean or get help.I was just pointing it can cause aches and pains with bending and stretching but still worth it.

I know some people will read this and say why did you get into the hobby if you knew there would be times you can't hang in there but I jumped into it because of a Dempsey I rescued.I couldn't stand to see her suffer. There was no way I could stand by and watch her suffer and yes I was and still am at times in denial over my limitations. My fish are the only thing giving me purpose. When i can no longer handle it I will find them homes.

My 150 is 29" tall just gets my cheek in the water when I try to reach the bottom to move things around but for cleaning I just got a longer siphon that helped my 90 is 25" tall I don't mind it but I've had taller so so it doesn't seem so bad

If ya worried biut height do the 75.personally I would go for a 120... Height can be fustrating at times tho I just upgraded yesterday from a 125 to a 220 which is 72x24x30 pretty tall for me since im only 5'7 but its really up to that person

I would go for the 90 the extra height is well worth it IMO. I have 2 75 gallons and a 110. The 75 i I have always felt are a little cramped once you add decor plants ect.. The 90 will give you a little more room to mess with and the added water volume will help it stay more stable of you have larger fish. My 110 its had for me to reach the bottom and i got long arms, but i think the benifits of the hight outweigh the disadvantages.

I had same problem few months back should I buy a 75 or 90. I thought to myself if I get 75 ill want bigger later down the road, so I bought 90 gallon. It's easy to clean and much more room for my red devil. A bigger syphon helps aswell, but even though cleaning it is never a chore I enjoy it no matter the size.
